The Changpa, or Champa, are a semi-nomadic Tibetan people primarily located in the Changtang region of Ladakh, India. A smaller number reside in the western areas of the Tibet Autonomous Region, some of whom were relocated for the creation of the Changtang Nature Reserve. As of 1989, the Changtang area was home to half a million nomads.
The Changpa are mainly found in the Changtang, a high plateau extending across the cold desert of Ladakh, as well as in certain parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Changpa represent a semi-nomadic Tibetan tribe that lives in high altitudes. To reflect this, we have placed the Tibetan syllable at the center of our logo, derived from the brand name itself. Inspired by the mountains, the unique typeface features peaks to symbolize altitude. The overall design of the logo emphasizes a mountain, capturing the essence of the Changpa way of life.
